Louth is a 5-seat border constituency that elected two Sinn Féin TDs in 2024, alongside Labour's Ged Nash, Fianna Fáil's Erin McGreehan and Fine Gael's Paula Butterly. Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams represented Louth from 2011 until standing down in 2020, one of the highest-profile TDs in the state's recent history.
